Save the Date for the Spring 2024 California Private College is Possible College Fair at Occidental College from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Free and open to high school students, transfer students, and families - meet with representatives from over 20 AICCU campuses to learn more about the pathways to a California private college or university. Registration will open on May 8, 2024.

Past Events

Regional half-day trainings will held at six different sites throughout the state, along with a virtual event, to learn more about admissions, financial aid, and student services at California's private, nonprofit colleges and universities! The trainings are intended for high school counselors, transfer counselors, independent college counselors, and others working directly with students on their pathway to a 4-year institution. Registration will open in July 2024.

March 27, 2024

AICCU, Santa Clara University, and the University of Southern California presented at the Transfer Counselor Conference to share more about the pathways to private, nonprofit colleges and universities for CCC transfer students. 

February 3, 2024

The 2024 Steps to College Fair, was hosted by the Mexican Consulate Office in Sacramento, and featured a STEM theme for this edition. AICCU was a sponsor of the event and provides an opportunity for AICCU member institutions to reach over 1,000 Hispanic students and families in the Northern California region. January 20, 2024

College Resource Fair at San Ysidro High School. This event was co-hosted by Assembly Member Alvarez (Chula Vista) with Cal-SOAP, the San Diego and Imperial Counties Consortium, dedicated to providing information and support on postsecondary education and financial aid to elementary through high school students while raising their academic achievement levels.

California Private College is Possible Launch & Fair
March 17, 2023

Held at Santa Clara University, the California Private College Alliance (CPCA) kicked off the California Private College is Possible Initiative with a press release and college fair. All inaugural institutions were there to welcome over 300 students and families to learn more about the private, nonprofit colleges and universities throughout the state.
